Yes, we could not do it before: in start-up mode, we have had hundreds of things in our long to-do list.

Now, we are launching our new monthly Single Plan for users with a single server for only $7.95.

In the past, our cheapest plan for two servers was $14.95, but now you can save almost 50% monthly if you have only one server.

What have we included in the Bijk Single Plan?

All the Graphs from one server (Cpu, load, disk, Apache, mySQL, nginx, …).

Unlimited Alerts.

500 Mail Alerts each month.

20 SMS per month included.

New data from server every ten minutes.

Unlimited Alerts to Mobile with free Android (and iPhone – launch August 2011) clients for Push notifications.

How you can get Single Plan?

Click on Upgrade

Select Single Plan

Pay with Paypal

Or see on Bijk pricelist.

We know that Alerts is the most important function of Bijk.com’s monitoring service. In the past, we gave priority to graphs and performance stats. At present, our priority is the best Alert system with 100% alert accuracy.

More good news for our users: in some days’ time, we will publicly launch a new way for payments: directly via credit cards from our website.

Yes, you will no longer have only the PayPal option for paying for Bijk service.

In the next days, we will upload to Apple App Store our new iPhone application – with smart-push Alerts.

What can we do next? Tell us in comments please!

SMSs are good, but push notifications are better! After a few weeks of testing, the mobile Android Bijk client with push notifications about new alerts is released. Using the app is very simple – start the app on your Android phone and you will receive every notification of a new alert in real time.

Advantages compared with SMS are:

1) It is much easier to read – you can see at a glance the state of notification (start/fixed), start time, incident duration, server and sensor name.

2) When you receive the fixed notification, it is automatically paired with the start, so there is no duplication of information in the list of incidents.

3) If the sensor has graph in Bijk, you can see it when you click on the incident.

4) Unlimited number of Alerts every month

In the near future, we will release our iPhone + iPad application with push alerts and with the main functions from Bijk.

What is the most important function on Android application for you? Tell us your wishes!

Screen from Google Nexus phone:

Bijk Android App is free for trial and paid Bijk users.

Download and install Bijk on your Android. Search ‘Bijk‘ on Google Market or use this QR code:

In Bijk, we are working every day to improve our server monitoring system for Linux servers.

We know that our users love Alerts. It is the most important function in Bijk, so we have decided to make some cool new features.

At Alerts status page you can now choose if you want to order Alerts by servers or by alerts state.

If you choose the new “order by state” option, you will see the alerts in this order:

1) The most important are the “not OK” states, so the order of states is: “unknown”, “error” (with the newest at the top) and the last are “OK” states.

2) On the top of the “OK” states are sensors which were checked the longest time ago, so you can see that some sensors are OK, but that the last check was for example few hours ago and there is probably something wrong. The time of the last check is in red if the last check was more than 20 minutes ago.

3) The states with the same time of last check or error start are ordered by plug-in name and sensor name.

You can also choose to see only “not OK” states – here you see only sensors with “unknown” and “error” states and “OK” states where the last check was more than 20 minutes ago. If there are no “not OK” states, you will see a pretty cool penguin

Today is a big day for us. We have just launched our new price list for Bijk.com Server Monitoring plans.

Why a new price list?

Four months ago we started with the first version of our price list where we chose to split the main functions into three plans, starting from $9.95 up to $49.95.

Now, several months later, we have more data about our clients and users—we know what is important to our users, what our main competitive advantages are, and what our users like on Bijk.com.

After very deep data analysis, discussion and user testing, we have created a new price list. One of the big changes are SMS alerts in every plan. We have also added a new fourth plan called Partner, which is specially for Hosters and Providers.

What does the new price list look like?

Who is the new Partner plan for?

We have clients from two main segments: end users with several virtual or dedicated servers, and hosters and providers of servers—medium and large companies, who need competitive advantages for their clients with servers.

The Partner program is an ideal product for Dedicated & Managed companies who need to provide cool graphs, easily managed alerts and a lot of current data about servers on their own domain, with a white-label design (without the Bijk.com brand) and possibly with some changes in the interface.

Bijk.com have created a simple API for maintenance of all mayor functions of Bijk from your current Control Panels or from your CRM system. We have created PHP and PERL connectors.

Implementation of Bijk.com graphs, alerts and all functions to your hoster Control Panel is very simple and does not require further investments of hardware or software. You can start using Bijk today, fully free.

At Bijk.com, we work on new features and functions every day.

So today we’ve released a new type of Alerts called ‘Service/Port monitoring‘.

You can now: in ‘Alerts’ section, simply add our new sensor for monitoring any service on your Linux or Windows server.

In basic view, you can monitor all major services: FTP, SMTP, IMAP, POP3, HTTP and many more.

How to activate Service/Port monitoring:

1) Login to Bijk.com.

2) Go to ‘Alerts’ section and select ‘server’.

3) Select the Port type at ‘Service’ section.

4) Select Email or SMS Alerts (repeat time, information about fixed).

5) That’s all; now you have the new Alert for Service/Port monitoring.

How does Bijk monitor services?

We worked on Port monitoring with our Linux admin teams and we have integrated a sensor function called ‘Intelligent test‘, where every 1–2 minutes Bijk will connect to the port on the server and check that the response of the service is correct.

If the connection to the server is successful and the response is valid for this type of service, you will see an ‘OK’ status. Otherwise you receive an Email/SMS Alert.

Where you can use port checking?

1) For mail service monitoring – SMTP, IMAP, POP3.

2) For SSH availability – you can get an alert when your remote connection to your server is lost.

3) For any other ports.

Don’t forget to go to Bijk.com and set service Alert. If you don’t
know what ports you can monitor, at your Linux server command run:

nmap localhost

or from a remote server:

nmap servername.com

and you will receive a port list.

This is available right now to all trial and paid users.

Do you like it?

A new option for server companies – give Bijk.com to your customers!

Providers of managed and dedicated servers, and collocation companies offering space, all need a competitive advantage to induce customers to choose their products.

Bijk now allows small and medium-sized server providers to offer its services – including monitoring of server load – very simply, quickly and at a good price (from $0.50 per site per month).

Recently, we added a new section, called “Manage Users”, where you can create sub-accounts – accounts that are permitted to view only selected servers – which can be made available to selected customers.

Many of our customers from dedicated companies have begun to use Manage Users for their own customers.

A real-world story

A dedicated company from Columbia state – one of the top five largest providers in the local market – has chosen the Bijk Complete plan for $50 per month, which includes monitoring and 100 servers.

For a very low price, the company has started to create sub-accounts for its end-customers, who now have their own logins and see only their own servers.

End-customers can set their own Alerts – add, edit, email/SMS recipient – and trace the history of server availability.

The company has now increased its server sales by 13%, and its conversion rate from a PPC campaign by no less than 27%.

How to get started with Bijk

Sign up for server monitoring Bijk.com, add some servers and create sub-accounts for your customers. It takes only a few minutes. You can even change the logo to create a more personal impression. You can add up to 100 servers, and as many sub-accounts as you need. Take advantage of the 14-day trial, which provides you with all features for free!

Are you large company?

Do you want to use our API to add servers and sub-accounts automatically? Do you want to run Bijk directly on your own server?

If so, contact our support – we can provide you with access to a more advanced version that is appropriate for providers who have 50+ servers.

Good server speed monitoring, together with server speed stability, increases sales and improves the user experience for your clients. Google requires rapid page-load times in order to rank sites well in its search index. We are working hard on better Alerts, so that you will be able react quickly to whatever needs may arise on your server.

Over the coming days we will be rolling out our new Alerts system.

Some new key features:

• SMS & email Alerts about ping/web downtime.

• Graphs in every mail/SMS Alert – SMS Alert on iPhone/Android/Windows mobile phones

SMS Alert on iPhone/Android/Windows mobile phone.

• Ping Alerts – Every server can now be monitored with ping, so if your server stops responding, you will be informed within a few minutes.

• More recipients for each Alert – You can now add as many recipients as you want for each email/SMS Alert.

Settings URL monitoring – Insert web address and multiple contacts for Alerts – Email or mobile phone for SMS.

• URL monitoring – You can set URL monitoring for each of your servers and perform monitoring every minute, if your web server is running. Bijk.com server monitoring will send you email or SMS Alerts if your site goes down.

• URL Time load – You can add several web sites for each server and see detail graphs showing information about the loading times of the pages, directly from your server. This information is useful when you are tracking down problems with the speed of your sites – the graphs clearly show times for sending pages from your server without any network delay etc. A ʻHow Toʼ manual is available on our wiki.

URL Time load – one page loading time from your server. On this graph, the page speed is OK: time load is under 0.1 seconds.

Incidentally, we have reworked the GUI for setting and editing Alerts. Now, when you go to the Alerts setup page, you will see several of the most popular Alerts. In the top-right corner you can switch to Advanced Alerts, where you can set up monitoring for almost everything you could want to monitor.

We have also implemented a new system of authorising mobile and email addresses. Now, if you add a new contact (or contact for your admin etc.), you will receive a hash within a minute, for contact authorisation.

After seven months of the public beta version of Bijk, when everything was completely free to all users, now is the moment to run the full version of Bijk.

In the last few months we have changed and added many things. Here are the most important:

Support for all major Linux platforms (Debian, CentOS, RedHat, Ubuntu, Gentoo)

Bijk successfully running on servers with non-public IP or behind firewall

Faster and better web interface

SMS and email alerts for about 60 different monitored services

One page for comparing all graphs from more servers

Many more new features in backend and web interface

Our aim is to produce the best tool for monitoring Linux servers, which is a joy to use for everyone

New prices

From Monday 16 August 2010 we have new prices which reflect the needs of all our users.

After very deep internal discussions we decided not to require payment for each server, but instead we offer three different plans that cover the needs of the vast majority of users.

Because we really appreciate all of the (approximately 1000) people who actively use Bijk, we offer them the opportunity to upgrade to our current plan for $9/month; this is equal to the Complete plan in the new price list for $49.95/month.

All existing users can take advantage of this offer before our new price list comes into effect on 16 August 2010.

We will also always offer a free plan for users who don’t need more servers.

What news can you expect in the coming weeks?

More and more graphs for a better overview of your server (for example, DNS, firewall, MongoDB, Ruby, customer graphs)

iPhone / iPad client for monitoring your servers anywhere, including push notifications

New alerts for URL and ping monitoring (really soon)

And of course better and better user experience in our web interface.

On our to-do list we currently have hundreds of new ideas and suggestions – we never rest and are always trying make Bijk better.
